Our Children's Ministry exists to help children learn about Jesus in an inspiring, safe and fun environment. The Level Ground Children's Ministry team works hard to create space on Sunday mornings where this can happen.
We believe that how we gather shows what we value; therefore, it is important for us to include children in our worship gatherings - engaging children so that they can participate in being the church, not when they grow up, but as a children right now.
We have created a Children's Corner in our sanctuary to provide space for our children to learn how we gather as a larger community of faith through observation and participation. Providing a space like this on a Sunday morning demonstrates to children and families that they are a valued part of our church community, not simply an afterthought. Our Children's Corner has activities, puzzles, and colouring sheets for the children to engage with as they are able.
Once a month we have a Children's Feature where the children stay in the service and we speak directly to them. This devotional is tied into the theme of the morning and is paired with the sermon.
Three times a month the children leave the service after our time of singing and enjoy a Bible story, play games or do a craft in their own space. Our Children's Ministry is for children up to Grade 5.
There is a supervised nursery downstairs for ages 6 months to age 4 each Sunday.
