LifeBridge is a ministy of Christian discipleship and leadership training exclusively concerned with individuals in recovery from substance addiction.
As its name suggests Life Bridge Ministries seeks to “bridge the gap” between the Church and the recovery community by providing opportunities for genuine community between the two bodies. Our vision is to see the Church embrace those in recovery as brothers and sisters and for those in recovery to find a loving and supportive family in the local church.
LifeBridge Ministries believes that all people, being God created, have inherent value and as such are deserving of our love and care. We also believe that spirituality is intrinsically linked to every other aspect of life and consistent growth in this area will lead to contin-ued maturity in all other areas of life. With that in mind we believe that it is the responsibility of the local church community to provide opportunities for intentional discipleship and relationship building with those who are actively on the road to recovery. LifeBridge currently has three programs: Alpha, Next Steps and the Mentoring Project.
The Alpha Course through LifeBridge Ministries exists as a bridging point between Christian spirituality and the Twelve Steps of A.A.. Our goal is to create a safe environment for people to explore their connection to God and to create relationships with other people who are doing the same. What is Alpha? Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, friendly setting. The course meets once per week. Each session people enjoy great food, laughter and learning in a fun and friendly atmosphere where no question about life and God is seen as too simple or too hostile…questions like—Is there a God? Why am I here? Where did I come from? Where am I going?
Next Steps is a 12 week Christian training and education program that focuses on what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ. It is also designed to help in-dividuals in recovery from substance abuse to understand the AA 12 steps from a spiritual perspective.
The Menotring Program matches men and women in recovery from substance addiction with people from local church communities who provide consistent, intentional discipleship and guidance on a one to one basis to encourage mentees in their spiritual and emotional growth.
